PENETRATION TESTING PATHWAY 2025
Start your journey into the world of Cybersecurity with our Penetration Testing Pathway.
This self-directed online course uses IBM’s SkillsBuild platform to introduce a range of concepts in cybersecurity, followed by practical modules on routing, basic programming, and use of Linux tools to assess vulnerabilities across a network.
The course is available and accessible after signing up and is taken at your own pace. We estimate candidates will require around 6 hours to complete the Cybersecurity Fundamentals package, and a further 25 hours for the remainder.
Our Pathways programme is tailored for members of the Armed Forces community, providing accessible, remote learning opportunities. With no costs to learners, our courses offer a valuable pathway to professional development and certification. This course provides an IBM badge of completion and practical understanding of hacking and penetration testing concepts.
Note: this course was previously offered as a gateway to a longer course delivered by Abertay University. From January 2025 that course is no longer available.
