Responsibilities Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit Handles antepartum, LDRP, and mother/baby populations Typical patient ratio is 1-2 couplets Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Required to work a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per month, with weekends defined as Saturday and Sunday Occasional floating to Postpartum within scope No on-call requirement Responsibilities include care for high-risk, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum mothers and infants Involvement in specialized procedures such as amnioinfusion, forceps/vacuum deliveries, neonatal assessment, and postpartum education for families Utilize advanced clinical skills for recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and patient emergencies Orientation and training provided based on unit needs Blackout dates for requested time off from 11/26-11/30 and 12/24-1/1 Preferred certifications include AWHONN Advanced, C-EFM, and RNC-OB Preferred experience in high-volume facilities and Level III L&D is valued Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license Minimum 3 years of recent high-acuity Labor & Delivery experience, or 2 years if in a teaching or high-risk facility Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Proficiency with sterile and non-sterile exams, fetal monitoring (external, internal, IUPC), IV and medication administration, blood transfusions, C-section and vaginal delivery procedures, and management of postpartum patients Will consider first-time travelers with at least 5 years of L&D experience Must live at least 75 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627909.
