Role Responsibilities
Ensure safety of all movements of moving rail vehicles in and out of the Long Marston Rail
Innovation Centre
To provide light maintenance activities associated with the storage of vehicles as directed by the
Operations Manager
Observe and adhere to site procedures and all aspects of Health & Safety at all times, in particular
those procedures around the movement of fleet around the site and track
Conduct daily checks of the stored fleet and report any defects and / or damage
To support the movement of assets around the site on behalf of customers and tenants
To provide light maintenance as required on assets as directed by the Operations Manager
Complete associated documentation in respect of the laid down processes and procedures on site
Carry out shunting duties in line with the defined procures in a safe and controlled manner and
any relevant maintenance and safety checks required by the shunters
Ensure all working areas are kept in a clean and safe condition
General requirements:
GCSE in English and Maths is required
Competent in some form of professional driving
Competent in fort lift truck operation and crane operations
Must have driving licence for motor vehicles
