The ideal candidate will be an experienced Cost Estimator / Engineer with a proven track record of preparing cost estimates, risk assessments, and controls through the planning and design phases. This position is full-time and requires authorization to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates in-house using software and estimating programs for Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects - conceptual and schematic design, development and construction documents
- Meet with clients and designers to discuss cost repercussions
- Provide technical reviews of project constructability design and analysis
- Execute change order analyses and reviews
- Conduct electronic take-offs on various architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems
- Travel 10% - typically once a quarter for short durations (2-5 days)
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of experience preparing cost estimates and conducting takeoffs independently
- Knowledge of OST, PlanSwift, RSMeans, or other relevant software
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply oneself when challenged
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Certified Cost Professional (CCP) Certification or equivalent
- Electrical engineering background
