Join our dynamic Sales Development Program, a 12-week training initiative designed for candidates aspiring to build a successful career in sales within our Consumer Brands Group. This program is tailored for individuals ready to make an impact in the retail landscape, specifically supporting Lowe's stores.

During the training, you will immerse yourself in practical experiences across multiple Lowe's locations in your assigned area. Candidates must be based in Tyler, TX for the duration of the program, and a valid driver's license is essential due to the travel requirements involved.

Successful participants of the Sales Development Program will be poised to apply for full-time Sales Representative positions upon completion, which may come with benefits such as a quarterly bonus, relocation support, and a company vehicle. Opportunities for relocation post-program will also be available.

This program kicks off in January 2025 and serves as an ideal fast track for those aiming for a Sales Management role within a Fortune 500 company.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Completing a structured learning plan focused on product training and sales excellence.
  • Acting as a Brand Representative for leading brands like Valspar, HGTV by Sherwin-Williams, and Minwax.
  • Using our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to document in-store activities and sales communications.
  • Driving sales growth at assigned Lowe's locations.
  • Supporting a regional team of Sales Representatives in areas such as training Lowe's associates, business management, merchandising, and events.
  • Building strong relationships with store associates and management for effective collaboration.
  • Resolving product and service issues at the store level efficiently.
  • Utilizing coaching, networking, and hands-on experiences to develop your sales and leadership skills.
  • Maintaining outstanding store conditions, visual merchandising standards, and promotional displays.
  • Willingness to travel overnight approximately 10-15% of the time as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship.
  • At the start of the program, hold a bachelor's degree or have four years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel as required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship or co-op experience in relevant fields such as Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service.
  • Experience in a team-oriented environment, including work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
  • Leadership experience supervising others or leading teams.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities following the program.
