The Sherwin-Williams Sales and Management Training Program is an exciting entry-level opportunity designed to equip you for a Store Management position within 18-24 months. Embracing our promote-from-within philosophy, you will have a pathway to advance into an Assistant Store Manager role after successfully completing an initial 6-8 week training.
This position typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, including potential evenings and weekends.
During the training program, you will work closely with store management to lead a million-dollar business, contributing valuable leadership and insights into store development and strategies. You will gain hands-on experience in operations and sales, increasing the company's market share by engaging with large commercial clients including painting contractors and purchasing agents.

Responsibilities:
- Complete training as outlined in the program.
- Support business strategies to enhance sales and profitability.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through quality service.
- Develop knowledge of all products for effective customer recommendations.
- Foster positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
- Manage store administration tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures including safety and loss prevention.
- Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
- Assist with employee training and performance management.
- Address and resolve customer and employee complaints diplomatically.
- Work alongside the Store Manager to increase market share through outside sales calls.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Legally authorized to work in the country without needing sponsorship.
- Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License is required.
- Bachelor’s degree must be obtained by the program start date.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Leadership experience supervising others or leading teams.
- Experience in team-oriented environments such as work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Experience selling paint or related products is a plus.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is an advantage.
- Willing to relocate for future job opportunities.
- Bilingual abilities in more than one language are preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
