We are seeking an experienced
Road Freight Operator to join a freight forwarder in Bradford. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to manage road freight operations from start to finish.
Road Freight Operator key responsibilities: - Planning and coordinating road freight movements, both FTL and LTL, across the UK and Europe.
- Liaising with customers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Preparing and processing all necessary documentation, including customs declarations.
- Monitoring shipments and providing regular updates to clients.
- Negotiating rates with hauliers and optimising routes for cost-effectiveness.
- Resolving any operational issues or delays promptly and efficiently.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Road Freight Operator requirements: - Proven experience as a Road Freight Operator within a freight forwarding environment.
- In-depth knowledge of road freight regulations and procedures (UK and European).
- Strong geographical knowledge and understanding of road networks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in freight management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and a strong commitment to customer service.
