Insight Global is seeking a Proposals Manager in our corporate headquarters located in Dunwoody, GA. The Proposals Manager will lead the proposal development team, ensuring the creation of high-quality, competitive proposals that align with the company's strategic goals. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in proposal management and team leadership, capable of driving process improvements and fostering collaboration across departments. We need a confident people leader who can improve our intake and execution processes, improve visibility to win ratios and strengthen the partnership between the proposals team and the Strategic Sales organization to improve the quality of the RFP responses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor the proposals team, conducting performance evaluations and providing guidance.
- RFP Strategy Development: Create and implement proposal strategies, processes, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proposal Oversight: Manage the planning, development, and submission of proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and sales teams to align proposal efforts with business development goals.
- Content Review: Review and approve proposal content for clarity, consistency, and competitiveness.
- Post-Submission Analysis: Conduct reviews and debriefs to identify areas for improvement and incorporate lessons learned.
- Content Management: Maintain a comprehensive repository of proposal content, templates, and supporting documentation.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform proposal strategies.
- Reporting: Develop strategies to gather data on RFP wins and losses to drive performance improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in proposal management with a proven track record of successful proposals.
- 2+ years of experience leading a proposals team.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives supporting complex proposals simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal software (e.g., Responsive, Ariba).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Proposal Management (e.g., APMP).
- Experience with government or large-scale commercial proposals.
- Knowledge of government regulations and compliance requirements (local and federal).
Must-Haves:
- Experience in content management, including building and maintaining a content library.
- Proven experience leading teams handling both commercial and government RFPs, with extensive SLED experience.
- Ability to report and deliver tangible outcomes to senior leadership (e.g., win percentages, revenue tied to proposals).
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
