Principal Mechanical Engineer - Robotics Design

Newton Colmore is partnered with a start-up biotechnology company in Cambridge, and we are helping them find an experienced mechanical engineer to join their team and help them prove their concept.

The company are developing a novel biotechnology product that solves scientific problems by combining complex robotics and automation technology.

As a key member of this team, you will take on a vital role in creating robust, manufacturable detailed designs for the company's robotic manufacturing technology. As a senior engineer you will be given autonomy and responsibility to design critical modules, leveraging your expertise to swiftly guide the team towards stable and reliable solutions.

This is a vital role for this company and so it's important for them to find the right person for their team, especially someone who enjoys working in start-ups and taking products from proof-of-concept through to ramping up manufacturing lines.

We are looking for a mechanical engineer who has experience with designing elegant and complex electromechanical systems and has hands-on knowledge of taking a product into manufacturing. The company are open on sector experience, as long as you have been working on complex robotics.
