Job Role: Mobile Plant Engineer
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester (accepting applications from surrounding counties)
Salary: £33,000-£35,000 (OTE - £43,000)
Hours: Monday-Friday 07.00-16.30 + Company Vehicle/Fuel Card +

The Client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established and National plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who have been established for over 50 years, have reached a stage of growth where they are looking to onboard & train engineers from either a plant, HGV, Automotive or Agricultural background to the team. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside relative internal progression routes.
The package:
- By Annual Bonuses Paid in June & December
- 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall)
- All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x (£22-£24 per hour)
- A minimum of 5 hours of overtime available per week - Additional £5,720pa in overtime
- Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an addition 5 days annual leave per annum
- Laptop, Company Vehicle & Fuel Card
- Full training & development with a focus on internal progression, route is as follows: (Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager)

The Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting
The Requirements:
- Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV or Agricultural industry (essential)
- Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
- Experience working on engines would be advantageous
- Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
- A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own
- Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
- Full UK Drivers License
