My client, a global manufacturer in the Northwest has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded Mechanical Design Engineer. Working within this well-established company you will be involved in the full design process of orders, improvements and cost reductions. The company is experiencing a continued increase in business, and this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a growing team.
Role & Responsibilities
Generate new systems to customer specifications
Liaise with supplier to find optimal design solutions
Complete Mechanical design checks for team members
Develop, maintain and amend engineering drawings using CAD
Ensure project costs/estimates are understood against actual costs
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Required Skills & Experience
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Working knowledge of Engineering Design System (3D CAD)
Specific experience with 3D Autodesk Inventor
Knowledge of CAD data management systems (Teamcenter or similar)
Knowledge of MRP systems
