The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting, accelerated entry-level opportunity aimed at preparing you for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. With our strong promote-from-within philosophy, successful candidates can look forward to becoming an Assistant Store Manager right after completing an initial 8-week training program.
In this dynamic position, you'll typically work 44 hours per week, including the possibility of evenings and weekends. You'll collaborate closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, providing leadership as you develop insights into operational strategies critical to store success. You'll sell high-quality products to large commercial users, such as painting contractors and purchasing agents, fostering growth in the company's market share.

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete training in line with established program.
- Support business strategies to enhance sales and profitability.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Build and maintain extensive knowledge of products for effective customer recommendations.
- Establish and nurture relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Manage store administration and procedures.
- Enforce compliance with policies regarding safety and security.
- Maintain excellent store condition and merchandising standards.
- Assist in employee training and performance management.
- Resolve customer and employee complaints effectively.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on outside sales initiatives to grow market share.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the country without requiring sponsorship.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Must have obtained a bachelor's degree by the start of the program.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- One (1) year of leadership experience supervising others.
- Experience in a team-oriented environment through work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Prior experience in selling paint and related products.
- Experience with timekeeping or customer relationship management systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future roles.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language is a plus, especially Spanish.
