Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Management and Sales Development Program is an exciting, entry-level opportunity designed to elevate you into a Store Management position within 18-24 months. With Sherwin-Williams' strong commitment to promoting from within, you will have the chance to advance to an Assistant Store Manager role after successfully completing the initial 8-week training.

This position typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.

Throughout the program, you will work closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, providing leadership and strategic insights vital to the success of the store. You will gain comprehensive knowledge of operations, client relationships, and internal strategies, empowering you to actively contribute to the team’s achievements. Your role will also involve expanding the company's market share by engaging with large commercial users, including painting contractors, purchasing agents, manufacturers, and others requiring significant quantities of our high-quality products.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship.
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Bachelor's degree must be obtained prior to starting this program.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Leadership experience of at least one (1) year, supervising others or leading teams.
  • Experience in team-oriented settings, including work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
  • Previous experience in selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
  • Proficiency in more than one language is a plus; ability to communicate in Spanish is particularly valued.
