We are now seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to help drive our continued growth and establish strong client relationships within the M&E sector.

Role Overview

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's portfolio of projects, focusing on securing new business opportunities in the M&E sector. You will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with key stakeholders, including main contractors, consultants, and clients, with a focus on projects up to 20 million in value.

This is a strategic and client-facing role, requiring a deep understanding of the M&E market, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead and influence at all levels. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement business development strategies that align with the company's objectives and growth targets.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar role within the M&E contracting sector, with a track record of securing projects up to 20 million.
  • Strong understanding of the M&E industry, including mechanical, electrical, and building services systems.
  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to assess project viability and negotiate profitable contracts.
  • Demonstrable success in winning new business and managing client relationships in a competitive environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving license (desirable).

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field).
  • Membership of relevant industry bodies (e.g., CIBSE, RICS, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
  • Experience in delivering projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, or industrial.
