Location: Hybrid working (travel to Barrow-In-Furness 1 day a  week) 

Salary: £50-60k  

Start Date: Immediate  

Our client is a global managed network and security service and transformation specialist.  They consult, deploy, and integrate multi-vendor technologies which help enterprise  businesses maximize the security and value of their complex IT infrastructure. Across 24/7  Network and Security Operations Centres, they manage over 200,000 assets across 78  countries, providing innovative and resilient solutions that that help enterprises meet  complex technology requirements, replace unsecure and ineffective legacy technologies, and securely solve today’s critical IT and business challenges. 

They are looking to add an experienced Infrastructure Architect to their Infrastructure team  to support several long-term projects. 

What will you be doing? 

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical ownership of solution design and  delivery for physical infrastructure. 

Key skills: 

Responsibilities 

• Provide technical advice during the journey from inception; requirements capture;  design; costing; delivery and into in-life support 

• Generating both High- and Low-Level Design (HLD & LLD) 

• Being the go-to authority for queries on technical requirements and deliverables • Working collaboratively with sales, subject matter specialists, project managers and end  customer teams 

• Host technical workshops or discussions 

• Manage the quality assurance of suppliers' deliverables during installation and at hand  over 

• Deliver to demanding timescales and deadlines 

• Work to industry, company, and customer technical standards 

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Recognised professional qualifications and certification e.g., TOGAF; ITIL; PRINCE2 • Working experience in, or an awareness of: fibre and CAT6 cabling and devices; Audio Visual and CCTV solutions; IT network and server devices; Server room / Data Centre  critical services (cabinets, power, cooling, security); Wifi networks and digital access  control systems 

Essential 

• Have or can obtain SC clearance 

• Have sole UK Nationality 

• Experience of working in large UK Enterprise IT environments 

• The ability to build working relationships in a collaborative knowledge sharing  environment 

• Be naturally inquisitive, particularly conducting due diligence and ensure minimal  exposure to risk 

• Proficient in the use of Visio and Acrobat Pro 

Desirable 

• Having worked in UK Government Departments, particularly Defence • Working knowledge of UK Government Defence and Security Standards: JSP; CPNI • Working knowledge of IT industry Standards: BS: EN; ISO 

• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 

• Can travel to site(s) when required.
