Health & Safety Manager

Location: Greater Manchester

£45,000 - £50,000 plus mobile phone, laptop, private healthcare, private pension, company days out and 24 days holiday excluding statutory days

We are a full turnkey solution providing design, installation and fabrication to Water Utility companies and Construction companies across the UK.

Due to planned growth, we are now looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join the ever growing team.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
  • Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policies.
  • Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
  • Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.
  • Ensure training targets are met and maintained in accordance with current legislation,
  • ensure correct courses are booked, reviewing staff skills and matrix in line with both Client
  • and Legislation requirements
  • Manages all technical risks and coordinates actions to reduce or mitigate
  • Manages the Strategic growth of Health and Safety Culture
  • To produce COSHH assessments and manual in line with the COSHH Regulations.
  • To carry out PUWER assessments on site equipment in line with the PUWER Regulations
  • To submit RIDDOR reports to the HSE in accordance with legislation.
  • To assist with and develop Training Manuals for employees.
  • To provide a monthly Health & Safety report on health and safety related matters
  • To carry out site audits and ensure compliance
  • To create RAMS inlinewith company tasks

To apply you MUST have or hold:

  • Hold full UK Driving license.
  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
  • Work on own Initiative
  • Reliable and Punctual
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
