We are seeking a specialist Ground Station Engineer to own the maintenance, reliability and lifecycle of all antenna assets (range, hosted and proprietary). This is a hands-on technical role combining preventative/corrective maintenance, deep troubleshooting (L1–L3), supplier/manufacturer liaison and formalisation of operational procedures to guarantee mission readiness for launches.
Core Responsibilities

Operate, manage and conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on antenna systems, ACUs, modems, spectrum analysers, radomes and associated auxiliary equipment.

Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with internal stakeholders, launch clients, GS operators, hosted parties and manufacturers.

Lead on-site troubleshooting and fault resolution (fibre, RF links, rack/cabinet equipment); minimise downtime through decisive technical action.

Act as primary technical point of contact for manufacturers, suppliers and launch clients; manage ticketing, spares and repair workflows.

Maintain, update and implement installation, maintenance and safety documentation; provide post-maintenance reporting.

Support hardware procurement decisions and contribute technical input to scheduling and software development projects.
Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Engineering (aerospace/electrical/RF/telecom preferred).

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in ground station, antenna or RF systems maintenance and operations.

Demonstrable RF expertise (link budgets, EIRP, polarization, antenna patterns) and troubleshooting experience.

Proven track record in fault diagnosis across L1–L3, vendor liaison and on-site repair campaigns.

Comfortable in regulated environments; experience with supplier certifications and compliance desirable.

Client-facing, organised, resilient under pressure, strong written documentation skills.

Willingness for frequent international travel; fluent English (additional EU language advantageous).
