Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience

Bristol 

Hybrid working pattern: Where possible, they will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working; typically 2 to 3 days per week on site.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual looking to progress their career with our Client through delivery of a significant firing trial campaign of the Sea Venom system.

You will be able to put their name to the delivery of the “first of class” Sea Venom firings from the AW159 Wildcat helicopter in support of the entry into service for the UK Royal Navy. Three firing trials are anticipated to be conducted throughout Q3/Q4 2024.

You will be responsible for technical delivery and oversight of all activities required for a successful Sea Venom on Wildcat firing campaign from our Client's perspective.

This includes:

  • Coordination of trial workup activities through engagement with SMEs and Sea Venom project teams to deliver Weapon Danger Area studies, IR target characterisation trials, Firing simulation studies and a Fit to Fire review.
  • Support to the Sea Venom trials team to ensure; TBUS compatibility with the Aberporth range, trials readiness with respect to thier documentation required to satisfy internal processes and that needed by the range/trial authority. Coordination of various teams to ensure correct data capture planned to support post trial analysis work.
  • Oversight of various teams/SMEs to deliver post trial analysis commitments to the UK customer.
  • Oversight of the Telemetry Firing Missiles (TFMs) build programme and the associated documentation needed for delivery to the customer ahead of the firing campaign.
  • As the focal point for all topics related to the firing campaign. This includes internally within the organisation and externally with key partners such as Leonardo Helicopters (LH), Wildcat Delivery Team (WDT) and LMAS DT.
  • Task package management across this domain, ensuring correct reporting and day to day management of cost, schedule, deliverables and risks.
