We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join our Façades & Cladding division at Guildmore!
This is an office-based role in Bromley which requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Facade design and technical management.
Experience in Façade is essential, and experience in façade remediation is highly desirable. BIM and 3D model experience is also highly desirable.
The role will involve assisting in the appointment and briefing external consultants, reviewing the reports produced, and managing the follow-up of that report.
You ll be responsible for:
- Prepare scope of works at the tender stage for architect/structural engineer/Fire engineer and other consultants
- Prepare initial design brief and contractor proposal for the tender
- Review drawings and specification and issue RFI s
- Prepare Typical tender drawings using AutoCAD
- Prepare programme and costs for PCSA works
- The role will involve assisting in the appointment and briefing external consultants, reviewing the reports produced, and managing the follow-up of that report
- Ensure the project team are working to the agreed Contractors Proposals
- Attend sub-contractors and internal design review meetings
- Chairing design meetings, writing reports and giving presentations
- Design and technical support to all Live projects
- Design co-ordinate between architect and sub-contractor s design team
- Advising on the selection of materials used and other aspects of procurement
- Ensuring the design meet regulatory and legislative requirements and the client's
The ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. Additionally, candidates should be well organised, skilled in planning for both themselves and others, and have strong attention to detail across all aspects of work.
