Job Title: Derivatives Operations - AVP

Contract Type: Temporary (6 months)

Location: City of London

Are you ready to take on a dynamic role in the investment banking industry? Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their team as an Associate (A) in the Derivative Operations (DO) department.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that daily team tasks are completed accurately and on time, following operational procedures and maintaining high standards. You will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and provide a value-add service, fostering both internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and administer day-to-day requirements and tasks in accordance with desktop procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver quality service and promptly escalate and resolve issues.
  • Follow bank policies and best practises, demonstrating a strong understanding of applicable risks and controls.
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and contribute to new system upgrades and development.
  • Futures margin processing, reconciliation, and settlement
  • Cleared margin processing, reconciliation, and settlement.
  • CSA collateral margin processing, reconciliation, and settlement

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a related role.
  • Knowledge of futures margining and reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with derivative products, including CDS, IRS, CCS, Caps/Floors.
  • Understanding of ISDA documentation and CSA Agreements.
  • Knowledge of EMIR and relevant regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manipulate financial data.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and collaborative.
  • Experience with UAT is advantageous.
