Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Contract Manager to take responsibility of the day-to-day operation for the busy Swindon operation.

Responsibilities & Duties for the Warehouse Contract Manager Role:

  • Management of all operational activities including training, performance management and attendance
  • Solicit feedback from the customer to assess whether their requirements are met
  • Develop and maintain long term-relationship with Customer
  • Anticipates future changes in the customer needs and adjusts to maintain effective service levels
  • Identifies issues that affect customer service performance and implements strategies for improvement
  • Responsible for Health & Safety
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and legal obligations are met
  • Fosters open communication with employees and other areas of the business to ensure effective team working
  • Manage budget and departmental / depot operational costs

Experience / Skills required for Warehouse Contract Manager role:

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in warehousing / logistics or fulfilment industry
  • Experience of managing Retail contracts is essential
  • Results driven
  • Ability to work in pressurised environment and to strict deadlines
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Up to date knowledge of H&S regulations within a logistics environment.
  • Experience of leading operations in a logistics environment.
  • Familiarity in budget setting and therefore operational cost control
  • Understanding of business management principles
  • Exceptional communicator capable of engaging at all levels of the business.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management system
  • Proficiency in MS office applications with a particular focus on Excel skills
  • Ability to analyse complex data, reporting methods and KPI measures
