The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to start their career in management. This entry-level role is designed to prepare you for a Store Management position within 18-24 months. With our promote-from-within philosophy, you will have the chance to advance to an Assistant Store Manager role upon completion of the initial training phase, lasting 6-8 weeks.
This position typically requires 44 hours of work per week, including evenings and weekends. During the program, you will collaborate with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, gaining invaluable insights into store operations, client relations, and internal strategies. You will be instrumental in expanding our market share by selling to large, commercial clients, including painting contractors and purchasing agents.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Completing training consistent with established program standards.
- Supporting business strategies to boost sales and enhance profitability.

- Establishing positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
- Managing store administration tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.

- Supporting employee training, development, and performance management.
- Addressing and resolving customer and employee complaints.
- Partnering with the Store Manager for outside sales calls to increase market share.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Must have at least a bachelor's degree by the start of the program.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- At least one (1) year in a leadership role or supervisory capacity.
- Experience in a team-oriented work environment or through extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with selling paint and paint-related products.
- Experience with timekeeping and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language, especially Spanish.
