Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Accelerated Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting entry-level opportunity designed to fast-track your career towards a Store Management role within 18-24 months. Embrace the chance to grow with our promote-from-within philosophy, as you aim for an Assistant Store Manager position following a successful 6-8-week training period.

Your typical schedule will involve 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

Throughout this program, you will work closely with store management to efficiently oversee a million-dollar business, providing essential leadership and strategic insights. Gain a comprehensive understanding of operations, client relations, and internal strategies as you contribute significantly to the team's success. You will enhance the company's market share through sales to large commercial users such as painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Completing training consistent with established program.
  • Supporting business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Building and maintaining knowledge of all products for effective recommendations.
  • Establishing positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Handling store administration tasks.
  • Complying with company policies, including safety and loss prevention.
  • Maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Assisting in employee training and performance management.
  • Effectively addressing and resolving customer and employee complaints.
  • Partnering with the Store Manager for outside sales calls to boost market share.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country without needing sponsorship.
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver's License required.
  • Bachelor's degree required by the start of the program.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • At least one year of leadership experience supervising teams.
  • Experience in team-oriented settings, including work or extracurricular activities.
  • Prior experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and/or customer relationship management systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language, especially Spanish.
