Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Accelerated Management and Sales Training Program offers a fast-track, entry-level opportunity designed to equip you with the essential skills needed for a Store Management role in just 18-24 months. Our promote-from-within philosophy means that you will have the chance to advance to an Assistant Store Manager position upon successfully completing the initial 8-week training.

This role typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, including possible evenings and weekends.

During the program, you will work closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, gaining leadership experience and strategic insight into store operations. You'll become well-versed in operational processes, client relations, and internal strategies, gaining a crucial understanding of your impact on the team's success. By selling to large commercial users such as painting contractors and purchasing agents, you will actively contribute to the company’s growth in market share.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country without needing sponsorship.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Must have obtained a bachelor's degree by the start of the program.
  • Must be capable of retrieving materials and lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service role.
  • At least one (1) year of leadership experience, supervising teams or individuals.
  • Previous experience in a team-oriented setting, including work or extracurricular activities.
  • Experience selling paint and related products is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language is valued; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
