The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting and fast-paced entry-level opportunity designed to equip you for a Store Management position within 18-24 months. With our company’s promote-from-within philosophy, successful participants can look forward to becoming an Assistant Store Manager after completing an intensive 8-week training program.
This role typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.
Throughout the program, you will partner with store management to oversee a thriving million-dollar business, where you will gain key insights into leadership and strategic store development. You'll master all operational aspects and customer relations, allowing you to contribute significantly to our team’s achievements. You'll be instrumental in expanding our market share through sales to large commercial clients like painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers seeking high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all training according to the established program.
- Support business strategies that boost sales and enhance profitability.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of products for effective customer recommendations.
- Build and nurture relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
- Manage store administration tasks effectively.
- Adhere to policies and procedures regarding safety, loss prevention, and security.
- Uphold exceptional store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
- Assist in the training, development, and performance management of staff.
- Address and resolve various customer and employee complaints.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on outside sales calls to enhance market presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Legally authorized to work without requiring employment visa sponsorship.
- Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree by the start of the program.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- One (1) year of leadership experience supervising others or leading teams.
- Experience working in team-oriented environments across various settings.
- Prior experience selling paint or related products.
- Familiarity with timekeeping and/or CRM systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
