The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting, accelerated opportunity designed to prepare you for a Store Management position within 18-24 months. Embracing a promote-from-within philosophy, you will advance into an Assistant Store Manager role following successful completion of the initial 8-week training.
This program typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.
You will work closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar business while developing your leadership skills and strategic insight. Throughout the program, you will understand the various operations and strategies, positioning yourself as a vital contributor to your team's success. As you grow our market share, you’ll engage with large commercial users, including painting contractors and manufacturers, to provide them with high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete training consistent with the established program.
- Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Develop knowledge of all products for effective customer recommendations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Conduct store administration efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies.
- Maintain store visual merchandising standards.
- Support employee training and development.
- Address and resolve customer and employee complaints.
- Partner with the Store Manager for outside sales calls to boost market share.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Legally authorized to work without needing employment visa sponsorship.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Bachelor's degree required by the program's start date.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- One (1) year in a leadership role overseeing teams.
- Experience in team-focused settings through work or extracurricular activities.
- Previous work experience selling paint or related products.
- Experience with timekeeping or customer relationship management systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spanish is especially advantageous.
