The Sherwin-Williams Floorcovering Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting, entry-level opportunity designed to prepare you for a rewarding career as a Floorcovering Facility Manager or Sales Representative within 18-24 months. Our promote-from-within philosophy ensures you have the chance to progress into advanced roles like Floorcovering Operations Manager or Field Technician after successfully completing our intensive 8-to-12-week training program.
This dynamic position features a typical schedule of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.
Upon completion of the training, candidates may be positioned in states such as New York, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia, where they will partner with facility leadership, sales, and regional management to oversee a multi-million-dollar business. You will play a crucial role in the development and strategy within the facility, gaining invaluable knowledge in operations, core products, installation techniques, customer service, and client development.
As a program participant, you will help grow our market share by selling floorcovering materials to key commercial clients, including property management companies, builders, and renovation contractors. You'll interact with individuals responsible for procurement, community management, project management, maintenance, and property developmentāessential experiences that will shape your career.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Must hold a bachelor's degree by the beginning of this development program.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Experience in a leadership role, supervising others or leading teams.
- Prior teamwork experience in any setting, including work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Background in selling floorcovering or related products.
- Familiarity with timekeeping or customer relationship management systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future job prospects.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
