Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting entry-level opportunity designed to prepare you for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. Embracing our promote-from-within philosophy, you'll have a pathway to advance into an Assistant Store Manager position after successfully completing the initial 8-week training.

This position typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, potentially including evenings and weekends.

During the program, you will team up with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, gaining invaluable leadership experience and insights into the operational and strategic functions of the store. You'll learn the intricacies of managing operations and cultivating client relationships while contributing significantly to our team's success. Your role will involve expanding our market presence by connecting with large commercial users, including painting contractors and purchasing agents, who require substantial quantities of our premium products.

As part of this role, you will interact with customers, including minors, handle cash and other payment methods, and access electronic equipment and merchandise, which may be supervised or unsupervised. Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete training as outlined in the program.
  • Support strategies to boost sales and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through superior service.

  • Foster positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Handle store administration efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Must be eligible to work in the country without requiring sponsorship.
  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted Driver's License is required.
  • A bachelor's degree is necessary by the start of the program.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Experience in a leadership role supervising others or leading teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborative settings, including work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
  • Prior experience selling paint and related products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities.
  • Fluency in multiple languages would be advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable.
