The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an exciting entry-level opportunity designed to fast-track you into a Store Management position within 18-24 months. Our promote-from-within philosophy means that you could advance to an Assistant Store Manager role after successfully completing the initial 8-week training.
This position typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.
Throughout the program, you'll work closely with store management to oversee a multi-million dollar business, gaining hands-on experience in leadership, operations, and strategy. You'll learn crucial aspects of our business while helping to drive sales and increase market share by engaging with commercial clients, such as painting contractors and purchasing agents.

Job Duties:
- Complete training consistent with established program.
- Support business strategies to enhance sales and profitability.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products for effective customer recommendations.
- Develop positive relationships with retail and wholesale customers.
- Complete store administration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with policies, including safety and loss prevention.
- Maintain store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Assist with employee training and performance management.
- Resolve customer and employee complaints effectively.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on outside sales initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship for an employment visa.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver's License is required.
- Must hold at least a bachelor's degree by the program's start date.
- Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Leadership experience in supervising others or leading teams.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of paint and paint-related products is a plus.
- Familiarity with timekeeping and customer relationship management systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
- Capability to communicate in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
