The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Development Program is an exciting, entry-level opportunity designed to set you on the path toward a rewarding Store Management role within 18-24 months. Embracing a promote-from-within philosophy, this program offers a clear trajectory for advancement into an Assistant Store Manager position after successfully completing an intensive 8-week training period.

This position typically involves a commitment of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends.

During your time in the program, you'll collaborate closely with store management to oversee a million-dollar business. You will gain valuable insights and experience in store operation, customer relations, and strategic development. Your focus will be on expanding our market presence by engaging large commercial clients such as painting contractors and purchasing agents, who require substantial volumes of our premium products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all training components according to program standards.
  • Support strategic business initiatives aimed at increasing sales and profitability.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Acquire extensive knowledge of all products to provide effective customer solutions.
  • Foster positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
  • Manage store administration effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship.
  • A valid, unrestricted Driver's License is mandatory.
  • Must possess a bachelor's degree by the program's start date.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Leadership experience, having supervised others or led teams for at least one year.
  • Background in team-oriented settings through work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
  • Familiarity with selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Experience utilizing timekeeping or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities.
  • Proficiency in more than one language is a plus.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred.
