The Sherwin-Williams Management and Sales Development Program is an exciting, accelerated entry-level opportunity designed to set you on the path to a Store Management role within 18-24 months. Embracing a promote-from-within philosophy, you will have the chance to advance into an Assistant Store Manager position after successfully completing the initial 8-week training.
Target Start Date: Summer 2025
This position generally requires a 44-hour work week, including evenings and weekends.
During the program, you will work closely with store management to guide a multi-million-dollar business. You'll gain invaluable leadership experience and insight into the store's overall strategy and operations. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's market share by engaging with key commercial clients, such as painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers who require large quantities of our premium products.

Job Duties Include:
- Completing training aligned with program standards.
- Supporting business strategies to boost sales and profitability.
- Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction through outstanding service.
- Building expertise in product knowledge to provide effective customer recommendations.
- Fostering positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
- Managing store administration tasks.
- Compliance with policies regarding safety, loss prevention, and security.
- Maintaining excellent store condition and merchandising standards.
- Assisting in employee training, development, and performance management.
- Addressing and resolving customer and employee complaints.
- Collaborating with the Store Manager on market expansion through outside sales.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the country without requiring sponsorship for a visa now or in the future.
- A valid, unrestricted Driver's License is essential.
- A bachelor's degree is required by the start of the program.
- You should be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently (70 lbs occasionally) with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Leadership experience, with at least one (1) year supervising or leading teams.
- Experience in team-oriented settings, including work, extracurricular, or military activities.
- Previous experience in selling paint or related products is a plus.
- Familiarity with timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is advantageous, particularly in Spanish.
