Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Development Program is an exciting entry-level opportunity geared toward preparing you for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. With our strong promote-from-within culture, successful participants will have the chance to progress to an Assistant Store Manager position after completing the initial 8-week training.

Target Start Date: Summer 2025

This position typically involves a schedule of 44 hours per week, which may include evening and weekend shifts. Throughout the program, you will work closely with store management to help oversee a million-dollar business, providing vital leadership and insights to shape store development and strategy.

You will gain hands-on experience in operations, customer interactions, and internal strategies, ultimately playing a key role in the team’s success. Furthermore, you will work on expanding the company’s market share by selling our high-quality products to commercial clients, including painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete training as per the established program.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Bachelor's degree is required by the program's start date.
  • Must be able to physically handle materials and lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally, with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Leadership experience of at least one (1) year, supervising or leading teams.
  • Experience in a team-oriented environment, such as work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
  • Previous experience selling paint or related products is a plus.
  • Experience with timekeeping or CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Willing to relocate for future job opportunities.
  • Multilingual communication skills are an asset.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a preferred qualification.
